DAY 1: PARACAS NATIONAL RESERVE
07:30 hrs. Departure towards Paracas with Transportes Cruz del Sur (Av. Javier Prado 1109).
10:30 hrs. Arrival in Paracas. Reception at the terminal and transfer to the hotel.
11:00 hrs. We will visit the Paracas National Reserve (RNP) in private service. The RNP is a protected area with the purpose of conserving and protecting the various species of wild flora and fauna that live there. As a first point, we will visit the fossil site of Turritelas, marine snails that lived in this area more than 36 million years ago. Then, we will visit the Cathedral, a rock formation located between Supay and Yumaque beaches, on this cliff we will be able to observe birds such as Peruvian boobies, tendrils, cormorants and Pelicans. We continue with the tour visiting Yumaque beach, where we can take a short walk along the shore of the beach and observe birds. Next, we will go to the Mirador del Istmo de la Península where we can take panoramic photos of Lagunillas beach, Paracas Bay and the desert landscape, from this viewpoint. Then, we can see the red beach, a beautiful and unique beach on the coast. Finally, we will visit La Aguada beach, a feeding area for birds such as the parihuanas or flamingos, a bird that served General San Martín as inspiration to create the National colors of our Flag. Also, we can observe other migratory or resident species. Return to the hotel.
Overnight in Paracas.
DAY 2: BALLESTAS ISLANDS
Breakfast.
07:40 hrs. Pick up from the Hotel.
08:00 hrs. We will leave for the Ballestas Islands in modern gliders, all with life jackets and a guide on board. On the way you will be able to appreciate “El Candelabro”, a large geoglyph that served as a lighthouse for the Paracas navigators. This Candelabra is related to the Nazca Lines and geoglyphs.
The Ballestas Islands are made up of rock formations where there is an important marine fauna with guano birds such as the Guanay, Piquero, Pelicano and Zarcillo, mainly.
We will also be able to see Peruvian Humboldt penguins, a bird that is in danger of extinction. Likewise, these islands serve as a natural refuge for different varieties of sea lions, dolphins and other mammals.
11:00 hrs. Departure to the city of Ica.
11:40 hrs: Arrival in the city and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight in Ica
DAY 3: PISCO ROUTE
Breakfast.
10:00 hrs: Pick up from the hotel to start the Pisco Route tour. As a first point, we will visit the La Caravedo distillery, we will learn about the history of the oldest distillery in America. We will walk along the boulevard of the 8 pisco strains. Then we will visit the original facilities from 1684 such as the winepress, the press and the falcas. We will continue the tour of the current distillery, considered the most modern in the country, with the highest quality standards. After learning about the entire process of making piscos, we can enjoy tasting some specimens.
The next point to visit is Bodega Tacama, the first vineyard in America. We will begin the tour of the hacienda facilities and learn about the history and process of industrial production of Wines and Piscos. Finally, we will have a wine and pisco tasting.
Finally, we will visit an artisanal winery to learn more about the artisanal process of Wines and Piscos and we will also be able to taste different varieties of wines. Overnight in Ica
DIA 4: ICA – LIMA
Breakfast.
P.m. Transfer to the bus station and departure to the city of Lima according to the bus ticket.
